HBK's shoot on Hogan following Summerslam 2005

I was a nieve fan at the time so I just accepted everything I saw for what it was. But looking back, why did HBK supersell so hard to Hogan and troll him the following day? I remember thinking that match was so odd when I was 15.

Here is the overselling of Summerslam 05:

I have no idea if this is true or not but I had read somewhere a few years ago that Hogan was supposed to win clean at Summerslam and then there would be a rematch down the road where HBK won clean. Supposedly Hogan refused so that's why Michaels acted the way he did at the SS match and then went after Hogan the next night on Raw on the mic.

Again, I have no idea if that is 100% accurate and someone else may have more or better info, but that was the story I read.

Ive read the same thing. Basically Hogan didn't wanna lay down for him. That was also around the same time I stopped watching wrestling so I never saw that. Lmao @ HBK.

Also, along the same lines of shoots, I remember Eddie in WCW talking about how the company sucks and walking out of the ring w/ his bag. I thought that was an angle until I realized I didn't see much of him anymore lol.

Re: WWE Off-Topic

The Styles one was a worked shoot, since he still worked for WWECW after that and works for WWE to this day.

Heyman's was a worked shoot too. It was the last promo before one of the big PPVs during the Invasion(may have actually been Invasion, don't remember).

While I don't remember seeing the Cornette promos when they happened, I'm pretty sure those were just worked shoots when they decided to have Cornette bring the NWA into WWE. Never really understood that whole storyline, but I was young at the time and nothing about it intrigued me enough to look into it(I mean, Dan Severn, really?)
