ERIN ANDREWS HOSTS NCAA FOOTBALL 10’S “ROAD TO GLORY”

Erin Andrews and Kirk Herbstreit Chronicle
Your College Football Career in New Mode

June 29, 2009 – Television sports reporter Erin Andrews will be featured as the host of Road to Glory, a new mode in NCAA Football 10 for Xbox 360 and PS3. Road to Glory is a broadcast-style video presentation in which Andrews and Kirk Herbstreit chronicle your career as a college student athlete.

The new Road to Glory mode allows you to choose a position, embark on a college career and then reflect on your greatest moments through video presentations presented by Andrews. For the first time ever, your actual in-game highlights will be featured in these broadcast-style presentations. Plus, an all-new, completely redesigned 3-D dorm room prominently displays triumphant moments through photos, trophies, NCAA Football news and more. New online leaderboards allow you to compare your legend versus every other legend across the nation. The comparison of each position can be sorted by everyone who is playing that particular position with the same team, the same conference or can be compared across all NCAA teams.

In addition to hosting Road to Glory, Andrews is also featured as a sideline reporter in NCAA Football 10. Andrews is the newest addition to the NCAA Football 10 broadcast team, joining Kirk Herbstreit, Brad Nessler and Lee Corso in a game that envelopes the excitement and pageantry of college football at its best. Including Andrews as part of the NCAA Football 10 broadcast team complements the franchise commitment to offer the most authentic college football experience available on any gaming platform. Andrews has served as a sideline reporter for ESPN’s College Football Saturdays since 2004.

Developed in Orlando, Florida by EA Tiburon, NCAA Football 10 will be available in stores on July 14th for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, the PlayStation2 and PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment systems and the PSP (PlayStationPortable). NCAA Football 10 has been rated “E” for everyone by the ESRB.

New online leaderboards allow you to compare your legend versus every other legend across the nation.

I like this feature

They did not add anything except a few highlight reels and Erin Andrews, granted having her is definitely nice.

For real, I wish I could get payed to sit on my arse and not do a thing all year long. Thanks EA.

Well, at least it looks like there will be night games.

The video won't even pop up for me.

My problem is the fact that this Road to Glory mode seemed to at least get some UI and presentation upgrades that dynasty mode badly needs. EA needs to take this into account in the future.
Its like EA is saying "Hey We know this game is broken but we didnt have time to fix it or make sure things didnt go wrong. But what we did have time for was adding irralevant stuff to try and squeeze more money out of you." If this game was up to par and they added fluff and irralevant features no problem. But EA is way behind the curve!

I wonder what Erin Andrews does if you win the Heisman?

I can't even believe the time and resources were spent to up the presentation of campus legend, yet we get absolutely nothing added in terms of actual game presentation. This series used to get me so excited every July back on the PS2....now I just get upset.

Seriously, what's the reason to have it. " You can be the worse player in the world but have maxed out stats."

600TH Post!!!

Well...to be positive its nice to see the dorm back. Wish exams would make a return.

I will just skip the little video updates after watching it the first time. I can see it getting repetitive. And I just didn't like it to begin with.

It would certainly save this game mode. But she would be one busy lady.

Am I the only one that noticed the Bama QB with 76 touchdown passes his freshman year?

The developers really wanted that Heisman Trophy screenshot.

It seems like all they do with this game is change the way the menus look & add a few things here & there...

I don't see why everyone is so upset about this. CL was borderline unplayable last year. Now, EA makes some major improvements to it and everyone complains. I think it could be cool and i'll give it a try.
Sure, CL/RTG is not as popular as dynasty, but don't fault EA for trying to make a better game.

Here's my problems:

1. That QB had 76 TD Passes, last year the highest total was 50 by Sam Bradford.

2. 38% of his completions went for touchdowns, last year the highest was 18% by David Johnson (Tulsa).

3. He passed for 5471 yards, while last year Graham Harrell led the way with only 5111 yards on a team that passes a majority of the time.

4. His completion % would have been good enough for second in the nation last year to Colt McCoy, who had a record breaking season.

5. The HB's 26 TDs were four more than last years leader Javon Ringer.

The list goes on & on...

They may have just played through the season on JV or Varsity to guarantee that they could get that screenshot...

Thank god that the dorm room interface is back. Just bring the exams back, and I'll be happy.

It also looks like every school in the game will be recruiting you

Haha, I didn't realize how much everyone hated this mode.

Don't get me wrong, dynasty is definitely the mode with more users and replayability, but there do look to be some nice improvements here. The thing with Herbstreit and Andrews looks nice, but I imagine it is very repetitive and probably not worth listening to more than once or twice.

Also, the mode is essentially the same with added bells and whistles, it seems. I can't judge yet, but just from the video leads me to this conclusion. I can't stand it when EA rebrands something and then gets all excited like it's a BRAND NEW feature. It seems more and more like EA is catering to 12 year olds.

I'm glad they did things to help Campus Legend, but honestly as others have said, Dynasty should have been first to see major improvements and additions. With the advent of some of these features, I know they can do more in presentation department and actually pull it off. Now it's just a matter of seeing whether or not it happens.

The phone call with Herbstreit was pretty cool...

Other than that. Still very unattractive to me, this will be the first time I wont buy on the first day in 3 years!
