NBA LIVE 10 Roster Update for the 2010-2011 NBA Season, Coming October 20th

Everyone has been asking what exactly can we expect to see with the NBA LIVE 10 update that was announced? This blog is here to give you all the info that you wanted. NBA LIVE 10 is here for the 2010-2011 season and the game will provide for free updates throughout the entire NBA season. Here’s a list of everything that you can expect to see with the roster update that will be going out on the morning of Wednesday October 20th:

All rosters have been updated to reflect the 2010-2011 NBA season
The 2010-2011 rookie class has been included in the update
There will be DNA Updates throughout the NBA Regular season. Expect the first update to arrive two to three weeks after the NBA regular season begins
All the player ratings have been updated

There are a few important notes that you should all be aware of regarding the NBA LIVE 10 Update:

The new rookie class will not have cyber faces included in the update
Rosters may not be 100% accurate with the first update due to NBA teams not having their rosters locked to 15 players. The rosters will be updated again to reflect the final selections made before the regular season begins.
Jerseys will not be updated to reflect the 2010-2011 NBA season
Stadiums will not be updated
Player shoes have not been updated and there will be no shoe updates coming with NBA LIVE 10 this year.
There are no scheduled gameplay updates included with the roster update
Dynamic Season will not be updated
NBA ELITE commentary will not be incorporated into the update.

All of the DNA Roster Updates will be provided for free with NBA LIVE 10 this year. Expect DNA Updates throughout the entire NBA season as well as any important reports to come your way regarding everything NBA from EA SPORTS. See you all again soon!

A Very small update in terms of content but better that nothing, that part that i disliked the most was the lack of cyberface´s for the rookies.

just the pictures? the player models will still look like themselves?

Player models too, i think, the photos are portaits i think.

No surprises really.

A surprise would have been nice, but hey... I don't think there is much else they could have (or would have) added at such short notice.

I imagine the cyber faces are the in-game faces.

No gameplay updates? That fine, just need to remove the patches to get a good gameplay update.

Looking forward to the Big Leprechaun dismantling the Superheat. I don't know how, but that's what I'm gonna do. May need to turn the difficulty down to rookie.

Rookies will have generic faces and they will not have photos.

This was my question.....it wasn't answered. Pre-patch was when the game was at it's best. I'm guessing it's gonna be post patch # 2.

As far as I know the update is just addressing rosters, nothing is being touched gameplay wise.

Yeah, well that's what it said.

No gameplay updates. It'll be all post patch game play.

I think you can remove the patch after you receive the roster update though. I may be wrong. You would still need to get the patches again whenever you wanted to receive more roster updates though.

thank you Ryan, sorry for the post. But can someone tell me why no jersey update????? I am willing to drop 5-10 bucks on a DLC that includes jersey updates. I feel what we are getting is just a very pathetic "sorry" from ea, for not releasing Elite. We deserve better!

cant wait for that!!

i can appreciate the blog pointing out everything the update does NOT have and is NOT about
i wasnt expecting anything more than a roster update anyways, but like previous posters, it will weird playing with incorrect jersey#'s, notably bosh & lebron for me, and wasnt expecting it, but man, dynamic season wouldve been really cool to use with the update, oh well

cant wait for weds morn!!!

They shouldn't even bother. I say we get an OS community roster update going, I have a great base file that I just need to tweak the looks of the caps.
I can say I am officially done with EA now, the only thing that can maybe keep me around is Elite gets released before the All Star game, and it be a good game, I'm not expecting great, I believe there is already a great BBall game out there this year.
Or they can give me jersey updates to make up for the lack of quality new players and lack of a quality roster update. Already have my other EA sports games packed up and ready to go to Gamestop tomorrow. Again I am sorry for my anger but with Elite being delayed/Cancelled this year and now this, I just cant take it anymore from a company that made sports gaming what it is today, ITS NOT ACCEPTABLE!

I don't understand why people are posting here talking about how "poor" and "weak" this update is or how the gameplay needs to be tuned. EA is giving you free rosters for an old game. Respect what they're giving you or don't post here.

EA knows the hill they're climbing now...I'm sure they realize how hard it is, even without all of the negative feedback.

The jerseys numbers will be updated. When I said that the jerseys wouldn't be updated I meant the new jerseys that the NBA unveiled this year won't be in the game.
