That's pretty awesome, but I don't know about $199.99 being a "much more affordable package"... I can buy most new systems for that price.

If this was $99, it might be something I'd consider. No way for $200 though.

They must be crazy. $200 for a system that plays old games. This will be a big Fail!

That's what I keep saying, this thing is $80-$100 overpriced. I think they are trying to sell this to the NEOGEO crowd that might be looking for a console to have on the side in case their old one break and they can take those 20 games on the go. The thing is that they didn't even mention if more games would be released for the portable or not.

Speaking as someone who owns a Neo Geo AES, Neo Geo MVS cabinet and a Neo Geo CMVS, if they all broke tomorrow I wouldn't buy this. For one there doesn't seem to be any support for any of the cartridges, which is a deal breaker. The device is expensive and way too specialized, why buy this to carry around when I can emulate on something else? If I was interested in Neo Geo games, why would I buy this instead of buying the individual games on some other console? Lastly BLAZE being connected to this is a definite red flag considering the really piss poor quality with their other retro consoles.

That looks old school as hell. Awesome.

I thought this was going to be tagged at $99 though?

Collectors and the curious with money to burn will buy it. I mean seriously, just look at the most purchased thread.....People buy random crap every week just for the hell of it.

I know people who have Blu Rays of tv shows and movies that weren't even good, but they bought them anyway. I know people who own 8 different tablets.....just for the hell of it.

Yeah I'm one of those collectors who will...$200 don't care I blow that on shoes each month or so.

If your not really a NEO GEO guy or fan, you won't see the value. I still see used NES and SNES going for over 300 on Ebay. And $50 to $100 in Game X Change...

I'm getting all this stuff new in box....$200 seems good for new in box and for all the games included in the handheld and so forth.

Would be great if price was cheaper!!!

Cool idea for a system, but main problem I see is its overpriced for what it does and too many unknowns on just how large the system library is going to get.

Craziest announcement ever given that it's 2012 and the system is $200...people think the Vita is overpriced at $250...besides you can emulate all this stuff on a DS or 3DS, a device you can carry around that plays CURRENT GAMES...not to mention a PSP.

If it comes with the joystick included, I can sort of understand the price. Still too high, but those things never run cheap.

Not something I'd get, though.

NES don't go for $300, used they go for <$100 and new in box would be well over $300.

A NeoGeo fan or collector would just buy an AES, which can be had for $200 or less, not some portable multi game novelty with a dock that looks like an AES. Saying a NeoGeo fan needs this is like saying a genesis fan needs this:

In true NeoGeo it is very expensive. Why not include 100 games?

# 15 mestevo @ 08/16/12 03:11 PM
I think this would do a lot better both for them and for nostalgic gamers if they just sold the controllers at reasonable prices.

Seems expensive to me. I'd buy an SNES, Sega Gensis, or NES remake if it came with a ton of games on it and support for cartridges.
