I'm not really a blog type of guy but I had to get this off my chest.
Over the past few years Madden has improved minimally. Instead of focusing on core gameplay issues, we've been brought numerous pointless additions (Pro-Tak, Hand Towels, Hand Warmers). Maybe I've been watching the wrong games but I've never seen a hand towel win a game or make a tackle. Instead of improving the foundation of the game EA chooses to apply a new coat of paint each year. What good is a new paint job when the house is crumbling from within? I used to love Madden but it pains me now to see a game that is heading nowhere and fast. The videos below are from various members of the YouTube community and express my and countless others views. We all would like to see a Madden game that is a true representation of what we see in the NFL. While no game is perfect, NFL 2k5, APF 2k8 and even Madden 2005 got the basics right. C'mon EA and stop being content with putting a mediocre product out each year. This game has so much potential and it's a shame it will never reach it.

Thanks for the comments guys. I wish EA would put more value into these videos. People aren't making them to simply bash the game but to help improve the product.
