When the game first game out I was all bright eyed and bushy tailed, it was great at first glance. However, after playing for a few weeks MADDEN has a lot of issues that need to be fixed. These issues take away from the enjoyment of the game so much that I cannot even play it anymore. I just want to play a good game without feeling like someone was cheated, win or lose.

For the record I do have some games that are very enjoyable but more and more lately my frustrations have been mounting.

A few things:

When your blocker just runs past a defender like he is not even aware that the guys is there.

The only holding calls in the game are on game winning/changing field goals.

Receivers drop way too many open looks/ Likewise with DB's
(I was playing a guy who threw it errant throws three plays in a row right to my DB and it was dropped every single time. )

When A guy kicks a field goal, misses it and gets it back first and 10.

Pass blocking/Run blocking especially against the CPU

AI does not make the computer more competitive it just makes them get cheap plays.

Franchise Progression is a mess.

Im playing an online franchise game and Reggie Bush gets hawked down by a D-lineman Cmon now.

Players do not get to their zones. Even if you key on that player

People can run the same play over and over and it continues to work no matter what defense you use i.e. WILDCAT.

HOLDING CALLS!!!! did I say that already?

Im sure there is more but this is all I could think of at the moment

I almost forgot. RE: online franchise

Its a complete mess. Commission should be able to have complete control.

Can't sim individual games nor reset games.

Cannot invite people into the league with a certain team.

No trade logic with CPU.

No Salary cap.

Its basically just a season that rolls over. It is not comprehensive whatsoever.

All I can say is that I hope Ian and company are reading because these points in your blog have been beat to death numerous times. I'm having more fun playing madden this year but there are so many flaws with this game. Most of the flaws players are pointing out are small but numerous and they seem as though they could be fixed with a patch or two.

Besides the unrealistic player animations the worst glich is the lineman blocking, I hate when they wiff on a block that could have sprung your runner. The animations when I say unrealistic I mean cuts after catching a ball there should be realistic follow thru but I've seen receivers and backs do some funky wtf things after catching the ball.

Yea man I am really disheartened by it as well. I mean, I really wanted to enjoy the game. But things such as receivers still going out of bounds on catches, catching the ball and goin in a HUGE circle to turn around like (turn radius of a UHAUL truck). Its better than last but quite frankly its not saying much

Yeah alot of things need to be fixed. But im enjoying it for what it is. But the dropped balls and balls going through players and getting picked off is really startin to get to me. I had planned to play multi season but if these problems cant get patched then i dont know what imma do.

As much as a positive person I am and have been about Madden 10 with an overall loving it attitude, I can certainly identify with a few frustrations pointed out here by you and those who made comments, at times, but I usually dominate the CPU so I take the funky stuff happening as an "unequal equalizer" - Lol. I don't deal with online gaming, most times, unless it's against someone I actually know like a family member or a friend and that's very rare, anyway, so that aspect doesn't matter to me.

Let's see what the patches do but, honestly, it doesn't really matter to me. Like I said, I'm lovin' what's there. It doesn't hinder my experience, overall.
