For a long time I've asked myself, "Why do you do the things you do with sports games?" For example I'm in High School which was about 11-12 years ago, this was a time that cell phones, tablets, and social media wasn't around. I enjoyed playing EA Sports NCAA Football 2002 (which was one of the best in the series in my opinion..) and I loved making roster edits whether it was putting in every single name or making the player look like they did in real life. It was fun but I had limited resources as I'd mention earlier. But this feeling gave me a rush that only I could get actually playing football in real life or feeling like I was on the Dev team for EA creating a fun football game.

In my mind I would also say, "Am I the only dummy in the world doing this!?" I'd print out team rosters online and manually put in names one by one. It took such a long time but when I would actually finish, the game would look so good with names, accessory edits, and it would feel right! We're very fortunate to have people today spend a lot of time for us to easily download rosters within a minute! Time flies and technology changes!

I share this example and my very good friend and I would laugh because we'd do "weird sports things" like this with our sports games. Are we weird? Are we the only ones doing this? Or is there a lot out there exactly like us? The reason I became a fan of OS is because I feel like there are a lot of "Weird Sports Gamers" out there like my friend and I. Regardless of what sports game we love or hate the most, we can honestly say that we are all a little weird in some kind of way.

You are not alone man, your not alone. I used to do the same thing with my roster only I just did it for the team I was play as not every team. There are many out there that do exactly what you are talking about. I, myself, wish i had the time to get into the DEV part of like NCAA Football but Family first. :-) Right now I go with what the guys/gals on OS put out for roster/slider edits (esp. for NCAA Football 14). They do one heck of job to make the game(s) fun to play for years to come. I wouldn't call yourself a "weird gamer" for wanting your game to simulate what is as close to real life simulation as you can get at the time. I would say we are all very enthusiastic about what we like in our games and if we can improve or make the game play or look better than how we received it more power to us! Just my 2 cents. :-)

Not weird at all, just passionate. I did the same thing around the same time when I was in college. No way I'd attempt that today, so I'm thankful for the guys here that do so for our benefit.

@DJ it's good to know I'm not the only one! That's why I'm a big fan of OS because it's gives me a chance to connect with people who share the same passion and interests. And yes we are very fortunate to have people create rosters for us!
