Turning 30 tomorrow

I sit here in Australia, it's a Friday night. Tomorrow I reach 30 years of age - "Nah, it won't bother me!"

Today has been one where I have found myself deep in thought, my wife has snapped me out of many a trance like state moments this afternoon as I sat on the verandah "just thinking".

Am I happy with where I am at 30?

Did I achieve what I wanted to achieve when I sat down and wrote down a 'To Do Before I am 30 List' as a naive high school kid?

Will I still get away with my need to play sporting sims on my loyal playstation consoles?

Do I have a career that I am happy to continue in up until retirement?

I have no kids - my younger wife and I need to get on to that right?

Have I traveled enough?

Do I need to get to the doctor more now for check ups?

Will I see the Rams when a Super Bowl in my thirties?

The list of questions goes on and on and on. Endless. I posed these questions to myself all afternoon over a quiet beer or two. The answers changed, as did my mood.

My only conclusion was this: yes, I am happy at 30. I own my own home. I have the most beautiful and loving wife. I have a family as close as one family can be with out crossing the line that is the English Royal Family. I have mates that I've known for 26 years, mates that are now like brothers.

I have my health. I have money in the bank. My wife and I eat well, drink well and enjoy a holiday every year abroad or in Australia.

Life is good.
