Sometimes in life, you get the total opposite reaction you expect. Despite having been lambasted for making two rather degrading Madden 09 videos, I took the step of making a 3rd. Being rather blunt, I broke down the play and did the best I could to decipher what was going on with the players, it wasn't easy.

Video games are a product that is meant to provide leisure, the Madden franchise cant do that the last 3 years. Ill go one step further and say it cant provide level (or fair) competition either. Rather, it embraces the "glitches" and game play errors it has. Things that come to mind would be the special "Money Plays" feature on Madden 09, or the "Madden Nation" show. While Im sure those players had gaming skill, that skill wasn't rooted in real life fundamental football. It was more rooted in 3-4 yard FB dives and broken coverage after a QB scramble. Never the less, EA announced it will have a Hall Of Fame for Madden players. Which ultimately begs me to differ who takes this more seriously, guys wanting the game fixed or the company itself.

As with anything, when you seek change people automatically give you an agenda. Ive been pretty straight forward about it, I have zero desire to help EA or "win a trip" to CD. I find the whole process rather ridiculous. You need a regular guy (who couldn't make an arena league roster - when he tried), to come show you how to fix your game. Why not pay people to over see what your doing. Get actual NFL players, the ones you try to emulate, to give you input. Just starting then CD process leads me to think they know they have a problem, but they don't want to pay consultants to see they fix it properly.

Funny how I have said the same thing even prior to CD about how they pretty much needed LBzrule and adembroski and the Watchers and Kane_DB and others still to help them make the game. Rumor is that Ian or others in EA are trying to actually get some of these guys on staff for M11. Not that this would be a bad idea, but rather, aren't there even better experts [former coaches?!?] who could do this as well?

I agree with you, the real goal in making Madden youtube videos and showing the flaws in Madden is to just make the game better... we just want a great game.
