Favre/Vikings Last Night

I was watching the game last night between the Saints and Vikings, and I couldn't help but notice that Favre was not very sharp. This be could be the result of many things, including Sidney Rice being out, his ankle, (Did anybody see those pics of the bruises from last year's NFC Championship game? Ouch!) or the Saints defense.

I personally think he was a bit rusty due to the fact he came to camp so late. Do you think the Vikings have the team to get to the big game this year? Is Favre going to last all season?

That is why you should get your butt in training camp. He was playing his first game like it was a Pre-Season game. Either dumping it to a TE or RB, or handing it off to AP who was spent at the end of that game.

This is what happens if you rely on ONE man. If they were a good or GREAT team then they would have allowed Brett to sit while Tavaras Jackson played the first game while BRETT got his legs under himself. BUT they are NOT a good team, they are a team with GOOD PLAYERS that won't go far because the COACH does not believe in THEM. HE believes in Farve...they won't go anywhere. Period. Lucky if they get back to a NFC Championship game....and if I had to guess I'm saying they MISS the playoffs totally. Two losses in Green Bay are looking at them anyway.

To me, the big revelation during the Thursday night extravaganza was how overrated the Saints are. The Vikings are without Rice, they lost Taylor to free agency, and Favre was as rusty as an aluminum washboard. Combine this with the fact NO was playing at home.......this game should have been a blowout. Minnesota will be fine, but I firmly believe The Saints will not be.
