IGN Madden scores this gen:

Madden 11 - 8.0
Madden 10 - 8.9
Madden 09 - 8.8
Madden 08 - 8.7
Madden 07 - 8.5 (editor's choice)
Madden 06 - 8.0

If Madden has been so bad since 2005, (that's basically what the IGN article is saying), why do they consistently give it a "great" score?
