View Full Version : XCrawl: Team 1 - Killian's Killers ONLY
Way to not kill our elf pet. If I wasn't so evil, I'd go be a fan of the good guys...but an evil being has standards.

I'm not sure why your definition of evil is only killing everything you see. I'd much rather get as much use from people as I can. Notice that I've even helped keep my teammates alive throughout the crawl. They continue to live while it serves me best.
As far as what to do here. I think that perhaps we should only have one of us go all fishlike to check out the pool rather than all of us jumping in. While I would guess having 3 scrolls in the chest for a group of 3 is rather convenient, I wouldn't want to waste them if they're needed later.

I'm a huge fan of the way that the elf bought it. Kind of like the Nazi in the Indiana Jones movie, but only better since it happened to a good guy.

Also, I agree that we are likely going to need to use those scrolls to transform into something getting out of the room. Sorry to be repeating the obvious; I'm just stunned one of you two was able to think of this. I mean, PB usually has difficulty figuring out how to breath through his nose.
So the decision is, do we all transform and go for it to save time or do we go slow to make sure we're doing the right thing here?

Lets go all three - I think we are past the point of caution this close to the end of the adventure. And, as we've seen in the past, the remaining group of do-gooders have a way of scampering through rooms quickly. While I scoffed at them for this earlier, we may need to mimic that behavior now.
That sounds fine to me. I was really hoping they would have just died off by now. Didn't we already kill them off once?

So what would you guys like to transform into?
I'm not sure why...
Of course your simple little mind can't grasp the evil incarnate I possess. I mean, your fledgling little evil way has you caught up in the crawl, afterall. Meanwhile, those true to My Way have been preparing to destroy this simple-minded little civilization.
Go ahead now...play your little game and pretend your little evil plot has any signicance. Afterward you may fetch me a pint of blood. My glass is getting low.

So guys, what do you think we should submit shape-shift wise?

I'm not sure why your definition of evil is only killing everything you see.
Because his mind can't comprehend any actual strategy...
Clearly your evil ways will spread throughout the world EF... Oh wait, nevermind, you died.

All three of you hop into the water. You read the scrolls and change into electric eels. You swim down. The pool is very deep. As you near the bottom, you see a hole carved into the side of the stone. You enter it. The hole leads to a tunnel. You go through it. The tunnel leads up, up, up... And into another pool in a different room!
You peek around and see no danger. The spell wears off and you hop out of the pool and into another room.

Room 19:
You enter a small room of white marble. It is beautiful. Artfully carved into the walls are depictions of many gods and goddesses of old.
In the center kneels a young man dressed in the traditional white robes of a cleric. He smiles at you as you exit the pool.
"Well done," he says. "You made it this far. Not much further now. Come. Let me heal you. It looks like you need it."
He casts healing spells on you - healing the entire party.
"Make any other preparations you wish to now. There may not be another chance."
Let me know of any actions you wish to take by tomorrow at noon. The next room happens at NOON tomorrow.

Here's what I have for each of you. Let me know if you wish to change who's carrying what, etc. by noon tomorrow.

Alright boys, time to fight those bitches from the goody-two shoes team I assume. Any thoughts? Did we find anything out about our red stone by the way?
PurdueBrad

We probably want to take the potion of speed.

I would say Hoops is the guy to drink it if only one of us does as he does dual stabs anyway and then double the # of attacks.

I assume we don't have elf dog on a leash anymore either.

Or what the Darkblade daggers do? I want to know if I should be using those versus the +1 daggers.

Do we want to redistribute the healing potions? J23 can cast the spell, we want to make sure he stays upright so we can have more heals if needed. 2/2/2 instead of 1/3/2?
hoopsguy

Slow, Fireball, Sleep as order for J23 to cast?
I want the Slow right away - we'll see if we can take advantage early. Then fireball to soften them up. Sleep is 3rd, but could slide if needed to heal people. I'm worried it won't be as effective on higher level folks as it was last time around and hopefully the Slow is providing good value initially.
Orders aren't all that complex for me/PB - we stab people again and again. And I'm all for taking the potion. 4x hits to their 1/2 hits (assuming speed + slow work the way I expect) should be a lot of fun :)

Yeah, let's redistribute the potions.

True. But he's there in spirit.
I thought he was there in a puddle.

They are +1 and do extra damage on a critical hit. So they are better for you to use.
Can PB dual-wield? Using the club of stunning w/ his +1 longsword would be nice.

No.
I think we would go with:
PB using the club
Hoops using the Darkblade Daggers
J23 using slow, sleep, fireball as cast order with heals inserted as needed, with the staff of lightning as backup.
Unlike Hoops, I'm confident that whatever we face won't be able to resist my powers.

Gentlemen, well done. I wish we could've pulled it through but I had a good time working with you guys.
Thanks for letting me be part of it :)
