Pete Pihos's Shoulder Charge

Has anyone actually used this successfully in-game? It's one of the more alluring abilities in the game, but I just can't seem to get him the ball in enough space to charge up and let 'er rip.

Re: Pete Pihos's Shoulder Charge

Generally I notice him only breaking tackles while mashing the A or charging it up. For some reason Shoulder Charge wasn't implemented too well in this game. Oddly enough, you get a better Shoulder with the Arm of Steel ability.

Robert Burns's love is like a red red rose, and Pete Pihos's shoulder charge is like a rare rare butterfly.

That was very poetically put, Kasey, and a pleasure to read with my Sunday morning coffee. Yet another reason I love this site.

Re: Pete Pihos's Shoulder Charge

I've done it a few times on crossing patterns where he gets to the other side of the field and I charged it up on the way up the sideline. It's strong, but like Kasey said, not common.

Re: Pete Pihos's Shoulder Charge

Rare. Yes. Best chances to showcase it are on west coast drag plays, fit it nice in the zone on a 5 yard pass and you can have enough space to run over someone.

If you want a reciever to run someone over, either choose a TE and pick STR with a silver or go gold and theres much more options. Of course Gold TEs like Ditka and Mackey can run ppl over, but so can a Gold CAP playing Wideout. If you create a HB with Route God, soft hands and STR and sub him in at WR. He will be more than adaquate catching and pressing Y, without charge, will run ppl over all the time.
