How many of you play with the game speed set to fast??

i tried it for a brief moment when the game was 1st released but i felt it was a bit to fast....

well i went back to it again this past week and i think the fast game speed is great.

it took a slight adjustment but it feels great.

the game just flows better and the animations seem to be a bit smoother.

i may be late to the party but i just thought i'd share

interesting Q:

I think I'm the only one whom plays with the speed a slow.... the animation is so awesome... I can't enjoy the game as much when the speed is any faster... I also feel the game doesn't look as realistic on the faster pace in relation to slow... IMO...

i felt the same as you did until i gave fast game speed a legitimate shot.

moving up from the slow game speed i was surprised that i enjoyed it as much as i did with it set to fast.
i expected to see skipping animations and such, but to my surprise that is not the case, the animations are still very smooth, but the feeling changes, it feels more organic(imo)

..still such a great playing football game.

Re: How many of you play with the game speed set to fast??

I really enjoy setting the speed to fast because it simulates great line-play (ie: the trenches). You'll generally see the DL (espeically high tier Legends) knife through Generic OL's and wreak havoc in both running & passing games. Not only that, it really adds to the dynamic effect players have: fast speed + great animations + smooth engine = great gameplay.

The only reason I got away from it was because it completely disrupted how I played online. The speed of Online play is slower than Normal speed offline so the adjustment from Offline Fast to Online "Normal" was tough and messed up alot of my timed-based passing.

Re: How many of you play with the game speed set to fast??

My take has always been that fast is too fast, and slow is too slow. I'd really like to play it somewhere in the middle. For online play I prefer slow, and for offline play I go ahead an play fast. If you play on fast, then everything seems REALLY slow when playing on slow. Makes it easier to play online. Kind of like weighting a bat before you're up to bat. Makes you feel like you're playing online in 'bullet time'. heh

There's no difference.

Everything is the same except the game is moving at a faster speed.

There's no difference in player performance.

There is no difference between how much faster James Lofton is then Dwight Clark, on normal speed vs fast.

The scale is exactly the same.

i don't think anyone here claimed that players performed differently???

....there was no mention of players receiving a boost in performance.

Fast is better for line play but worse for just about everything else.
