Welcome ladies and gentlemen to a new season of pirates baseball im your anouncer all year long greg brown along with a new member of our announcing team former pirates pitch Kip Wells. Welcome Kip

*Thanks for adding me to the team and I have a feeling the buccs are going to develope into something we can actually watch this year.

Well Kip we all hope so. Now lets talk about this 2010 roster we will see open at home against the dodgers tomorrow afternoon. Here is the 2010 buccs opening day roster

* Well Greg the roster is a roster built on young talented raw players. I want to make the point of them being raw because as we all know you do not know when those young players can click. With players like Milledge, McCutchen and Jones the pirates can click into a fun team to watch.

What do you think about the pitching this team has kip?

*Well lead by Zach duke and Paul Maholm after them i dont see any real promise to get wins and I think the only way we see some fire works from this team is if thier hitting gets them somewhere by the trade deadline and they become buyers and not sellers.

Well kip tomorrow is opening day and buccs fans get ready for a interesting season with this buccs team under the manegment of Mr. Martinez taking over the GM position we will just have to see what happens

Kip Wells- The Buccs have been really showing the world something in the last 2 games. They are really saying hey look we can play a little huh boys. The first 2 games of the year couldnt of started off better and they look for the sweep of the dodgers with ross ohlendorf on the mound.

*Kip Wells- This series is going to come down to hitting. Can the buccs get more small ball timely hits or will ARZ just simply out pitch and clutch hit this young buccs team. If the buccs have a lead in the late inning they really need to hold every game possible that will be key

Buccs news

AAA pitcher Daniel McCutchen is rumored to get a call up to the MLB if Brian Bass shows no improvment from spring as McCutchen is showing alot to GM Martinez.

Timo Corona is on the DL with an inflammation in the shoulder and that is very dissapointing to the buccs as he is a very nice prospect that his call up will have to be pushed back later in the season.

McCutchen is called up to majors as #5

This kid can pitch and he i gunna be put to the test as brian bass has been sent down and put on waivers. We will see if this risky move pays off for the buccs who want McCutchen to be there number 5 starter the rest of the season.
