My aim is to play a game based on realism. I love the game of basketball and especially the NBA, so the way I play is to emulate the artistry that I love watching on TV every night. Part of this is playing in a way that doesn't exploit the weaknesses of the CPU's AI, which I have mostly tried to do through my sliders - although it's pretty close, it's not perfect.

Another way is to use the players in the same way they play on the floor in real life. For instance, I could technically post up with KP every possession and beast the paint, but in real life, that's not how he plays and therefor neither will I. It's things like this that make this game enjoyable to me.

There are tons of great dynasty stories on this board and I have lurked around for awhile, so thanks to all those for providing such great, enjoyable-to-read content. Hopefully this lasts a little while and can bring some sort of entertainment to you guys...

It's A New Era In Dallas With Hiring Of Jason Kidd

After 13 years with Rick Carlisle as head coach and a total of 16 with Donnie Nelson as top basketball executive, the Mavericks hit the reset button in the offseason. To replace them, Dallas brought in Jason Kidd and Nico Harrison as its new head coach and general manager, respectively.

This will be Harrison's first time running an NBA front office. Previously, he was part of Nike's basketball division for 19 years, most recently as vice president of North American operations. On the other hand, Kidd, the starting point guard on the franchise's championship team from 2011, does have seven years of NBA coaching experience, including five as a head coach.

Looking forward to seeing how you can build this roster. It’s pretty barren of talent outside of Luka and, depending who you ask, KP. Interested to see what realistic moves you make to get something or build.
