Well, I've never averaged more than 30 pts a game for any player in any 2k game before, and I started buying 2k back in 2003 (had NBA live since 1997 or so).
Well, thanks to 2k implementing absolutely NO double teaming when you're hot (I'm not really thanking them, it's not very realistic what's going on) in my Lakers association I'm averaging almost 40 pts a game with Kobe this season...!
Just had a great game vs the Wizards, I'm calling it "The Shootout"
Kobe 55 pts 4 reb 3 assists, 20-37 shooting, 6-11 3pts, 9-10 ft
Nick Young 43 points 5 reb, 17-34, 7-14 3pts
These 2 were just matching threes back and forth in the third. Wizards never led the whole game but Young tried to shoot them back in it. I ended up winning 111-104.
Infact, John Wall went for 17 pts 11 reb and 13 assists in this game. His amazing triple double wasn't even the main show.
Kobe wasnt double teamed once the whole game (as usual) so I just fed the hot hand. Nothing wrong with that, they do it in the NBA. And if Kobe never drew a double team in real life, that 81 point game would have been about 130 pts.
The game before this, Kobe scored 57 against the Pistons in OT. 57 points, 7 assists, 5 3pts. 2 days before.
2k has to do something about this double teaming.
But until they do, Kobe is leading the league at 39.8 points a game over the first 9 games. 5 assists also.
