Today in Opening Day for college, so here's a thread our few and far between fans can use as a catch-all for the regular season and postseason.

East Carolina's Parker Byrd has made history tonight as the first ever D1 ball player with a prosthetic leg.

He was in a boating accident in the summer of 2022 after committing to the Pirates, and went through 22 surgeries in 45 days.

With the Pirates up 11-2 against Rider, they brought him in to pinch-hit and he drew a walk, and was then replaced with a pinch runner.

I don't know if he'll get any more appearances this year, or if this was just a "feel-good" moment of ECU honoring his commitment, but it was really cool.

First official upset of the season, #2 Florida falls to St. John's, 9-5.

The Johnnies came out hot and got to a 7-0 lead, then Florida scored 5 unanswered.

St. John's highest ranked win since beating #1 Virginia 14 years ago.

Friday evening TCU trails FGCU 9-3 and comes back to win 10-9.

Saturday evening TCU trails FGCU 10-3 and comes back to win 13-10.

Texas Tech set the school record for runs in a single game today, when they beat Texas Southern by a score of 32-5.

Arkansas beats Oregon State 5-4. Razorback pitcher Hagen Smith started the game with 15 straight strikeouts, 17 on the night. 17 Ks is the Globe Life Field record for all levels.

An incredible performance by Smith. 78 pitches in 6 IP. 25 swings and misses. Touched 99, averaged 96 with his FB.

All this after he gave up 3 runs in 1 IP and threw 42 pitches against James Madison last week. Crazy

Louisville has won 7 straight after losing their first 4 games to begin the season. They have scored a total of 104 runs over those 7 games, which equates to 14.8 runs per game.

Just discovered this thread lol.

My Razorbacks are like a runaway freight train right now, 32-5 after the win today against Texas Tech and 25 straight at Baum Walker. That is absolutely insane.

We are good in all phases of the game too, pitching, offense, and defense. We are so deep this year too I think thats what makes this team different than other DVH coached teams.
