I know I am late but **** those refs from the Charlotte/St. Bonnie game last Saturday, the worse I have ever seen out of the A-10.

Wow...You were right. I didn't expect that out of Rhody the way they looked the last couple of games. Looks like they shot lights-out. Who the hell is Nikola Malesevic?

I saw they lost but never saw the box score until just now. 42 FTA's for the Bonnies and 9 for the Niners? A foul discrepancy of 28 to 12? I don't recognize the names of those refs, to be honest. I'll be on the lookout for those three and hope they are favorable to X if they do one of their games!

Malesevic is from Serbia and had been buried on the depth chart before this year according to the announcers. Kid was on fire. At 1 pt the whole team was perfect from 3 land in the 2nd half.

This loss falls on the players. KA had back to back turnovers when it was a 2-3pt game with like 8 to go. And Mooney told the team at halftime to defend the 3 and which players to guard tighter behind the 3. It was cool that CBSCS showed the halftime meeting but also shows what can happen when dealing with kids. Oh well, I can officially put any at-large hopes to rest now. Never been so frustrated at a team like I was tonight, except when FSU lost to Auburn last week

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread

I thought this was UD's chance to get Xavier at home finally, but not after the way they played against UMass.

I was worried about X's chance to extend the streak to 30 but then conference play started. UD has typically not played well on the road in conference play. Losing to UMass was further proof of that. And, they played rather uninspired against St. Joe's at home. The Hawks aren't that good. I would have expected the Flyers to win rather easily. Xavier has stepped up their game in conference play so far. If they can keep playing similar to their games @ Rhody and vs UMass, they'll have a lot of success in conference play this year with the league being down overall, IMO. I think X will win tomorrow but it will be by less than 10 points. More like 6 or 7. UD will get up for the game but X plays well at home, especially in conference play.

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread

Charlotte is struggling from a lack of depth and all of the players being of the Lutz gotta shoot 40 3's in a game players. I think UNCC will be a force to reckon with though by 2013.

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread

Atlantic 10 Standings
TEAM CONF OVERALL
Duquesne 5-0 13-5
Xavier 5-0 13-5
Richmond 4-1 15-5
UMass 3-2 11-7
Dayton 3-2 15-5
Temple 3-2 13-5
Rhode Isl. 3-2 12-7
Geo. Wash. 3-2 10-9
St. Bona. 2-3 10-8
Saint Louis 2-3 7-11
Charlotte 1-4 9-10
La Salle 1-4 9-11
Fordham 0-5 6-11
Saint Joe's 0-5 5-14

Duquesne might be for real. They do still have to play Dayton twice and have a couple of other tough road games. Lots of season left but I'm impressed with their start. Xavier has been playing excellent basketball since conference play started. I was worried after that loss to Cincy but they have responded well and put OOC play behind them. Still lots of hoops to be played but I think 5 schools (Xavier, Temple, Dayton, Duquesne, and Richmond) will be competing for the title when it's all said-and-done. They have the strongest teams compared to the other teams in the league.

I got to go to the Temple Xavier game today and I must say the Cintas Center is an outstanding facility, I was really impressed.
