Here's an article on Finn's dismissal. Word is that it was alcohol-related.

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
I guess we could go on and on about the relative merits of the RPI re: Temple. The MVC played the RPI game very well this year. I think the A-10 could roll the teams in the MVC but the MVC will have mulitple bids and the A-10 likely not. I not like the RPI much (will kill GW's seeding). I agree that Charlotte has a good chance in the tourney if they meet up with GW. Charlotte's problem tho is ball control and GW thrives on the turns... GW, unfortunately, is starting to see some late season injuries/discipline issues. Pops hurt his knee last night and missed the 2nd half. Mike Hall is struggling with knee problems, and Montrell McDonald was suspended indefinitely, although he probably will come back sooner rather than later (playing time issues). McDonald is a spark defensively off the bench and has been missed the last couple of games. Hopefully things straighten out.
Sucks about X. Tough year for them. Since they came into the league I always viewed them as GWs main rival and respect the team (the fans do have a superiority complex, tho - present company excluded)Comment

Charlotte has been fine in ball control this year, top 4 in the league in turnover margin and a/to ratio. The biggest problem is shooting inside the arc. #2 in the league in 3 point shooting %, #11 in overally shooting %. I say GW beats Charlotte 9 out of 10 times, but I will take my chances against them in the A10 title game.Comment

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
GW is bounced from the A10 tourny, they likely dropped down to a 4 seed. Nobody thinks they are for real and will use this as an excuse to drop them. They would be extremely lucky to get a 3 now. Without Pops they are a 4-6 seed, with him they deserve a 3, at least. Lesson learned for Hobbs, better OOC scheduling will let you earn respect.
The good news is that two A10 teams will get in now. Temple and St. Joe's have both been hot coming in(well, St. Joe's has, but Temple has played extremely well two nights in a row), they will face in the semi's on one side, I like the winner of that to take the tournament.
The other side has Charlotte/Xavier, both teams who should have been at-large teams, but blew it(at least Xavier has the injury excuse). Either could go on to win the thing, and probably make a small dent in the NCAA(at least one win) if they play well, but they are both way too inconsistent. The winner plays La Salle/Fordham, with all due respect to 2 time A10 POY Steven Smith, if Xavier or Charlotte show up against either of those two, it shouldn't be a close game.Comment

It is 44-41 Xavier right now, the teams keep going on runs. The game is so slow and sloppy though, it took X 5 minutes to go on a 7-0 run.Comment
