Coaches Poll Released--Alabama on Top

The Coaches Pre-season poll was released earlier today. Here is how the teams stacked up:

1--Alabama
2--Ohio State
3--Oregon
4--Stanford
5--Georgia
6--Texas A&M
7--South Carolina
8--Clemson
9--Louisville
10--Florida
11--Notre Dame
12--Florida State
13--LSU
14--Oklahoma State
15--Texas
16--Oklahoma
17--Michigan
18--Nebraska
19--Boise State
20--TCU
21--UCLA
22--Northwestern
23--Wisconsin
24--USC
25--Oregon State

Teams receiving votes included Kansas State, Miami (FL), Michigan State, Baylor, Virginia Tech, Fresno State, Arizona State, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Utah State, BYU, North Carolina, Northern Illinois, Tulsa, Ohio, San Jose State, Arizona, Cincinnati, ECU, Kent State, Mississippi State, Washington, UCF, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Rutgers, Tennessee, and Toledo.

Overall, this was the first coaches poll in a while where I haven't had a real big argument with any of the ranks. I think Boise State and Texas are too high and I think Northern Illinois and Washington didn't get enough respect. Other than that, it's a pretty solid top 10 and a pretty fair assessment by the coaches of where the teams stand right now.

T-minus 28 days away from the start of college football. Can't get here soon enough.

Pretty good poll although I think TCU is a little low and OU and Texas may be a tad high.

TCU is my sleeper in the Big 12.

That seems right. Maybe sneak in Miami but no biggie. Ohio state vs Alabama in the NC.

For some reason I don't think Bama is going to get there...They have a really tough schedule. They will slip up somewhere.

I think Ohio State has a great chance to go undefeated and I also think teams like Clemson, Louisville, and Texas have decent chances.

I don't think any of those teams are top 2 in the country but I like how their schedules set up.

Bama's schedule is actually fairly easy for a SEC schedule. VT should be better than last year, but Bama will likely be 2 TD favorites. A&M on the road will be very tough, but they get LSU at home and miss UF/UGA/South Carolina from the East.
