I have an xbox 360 and am trying to get madden patch, nba 2k8 patch, and madden rosters and nba2k8 rosters. I dont have xbos live and when I connected modem to xbox 360 and booted up the games it did nothing. When I tried to connect to xbox live it no valid ip address for my console. Confused, any help appreciated.

You need xbox live... i think both silver and gold will allow you to download updates/patches and such... if u connect your modem directly to your 360 after connecting it to your PC... u have to unplug the modem and plug it back in... then do the connection test in the dashboard..
