Prior to this it was reported that if this and the EU (next month) approved the deal MS would move forward without waiting for their suit from the FTC opposing the merge to be resolved.

I think this might be dead. I was reading today that the UK does things differently for appealing things and it’s very difficult to overturn cuz the CMA gets the final word of the appeal.

I think the ABK deal is still alive but depends on what EU does. If they approve in May then you have I believe 8 regulators approving the deal with only CMA blocking it and for a reason that makes no sense. Microsoft is the only major company that's investing billions into cloud game streaming and yet, CMA's decision is basically saying, don't invest into new technology or invest into making it grow.

As for CAT, if Microsoft wins the appeal then it goes back to CMA but it depends on how Microsoft appeals it. Depends on their reasoning. Also, Microsoft could go above CAT if they really feel the need.

Either way, this damn acquisition isn't ending any time soon.

Redfall plays terrible on Series X. Feels so sluggish. Feels like it’s running at less than 30fps to me. If you have a capable PC try it there. I’m only about 10min in but it plays so bad I don’t think I can go much further to see what it’s about.

I’m ok on Series X but can see what you mean. It’s a fun game but not really amazing or anything new

In all honesty, I don't think it's dead yet. If EU blocks then I agree 100%. I personally want EU to block it only because I want it to end and because I don't care about ABK. If it was Ubisoft, Capcom, EA or WB, then I would be like, FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!! lol But ABK? Meh.

Re: Xbox Series (X/S)

Yeah think we'll see one last gasp of an appeal, but if that doesn't go anywhere it's done.

Re: Xbox Series (X/S)

What’s with the message Phil Spencer is sending in the latest podcast he was in. He basically almost sounds like he’s giving up on Xbox. No one needs to drop their PlayStations or Nintendo for an Xbox. His concern should be make sure they can make great games so people actually want to buy an Xbox as well. I don’t understand his method of saying what he said. Almost sounds like he’s waiving the white flag. If Microsoft took their time and actually came out with good exclusives more people would buy an xbox.
