What is the Battle Royale Competition like?

I've read they are 3 inning games?

I'm working on 5th inning program and the current event. Never done BR and don't really wanna waste my time on it or take away from the other two if it's not worth it. Is it a waste unless you go 12-0 compared to the event? What do you get for going 12-1?

I just won 10 in a row in the event but maybe 3 were "give me a HR and I quit" wins. Then another one I was losing but game disconnected and I got the win. I feel like I prob win 80% of the event games and then someone will come in and destroy me.

My experience with BR is it's generally not too rough until you get to 6-0 or so. Right now the competition might be softer while entries are free (albeit it's no longer free after today)

I personally feel like it's really tough

You might get a couple easy games early but making it to 6-0 isn't as easy as last year IMO

I'm new to BR as well I've only done 6 to 8 runs total. Got my first 10 win run a couple days ago. I could have really used the Max Sherzer 12 win reward but ran up against a guy who had a 51-15 RS record. I gave up a 6 spot in the 1st. Lol. I shut him down the next 2 innings but just didn't have enough and lost 6-3.

It's fun, I like doing the drafts and getting to use some diamonds I don't have or impossible for me to get and it's on All-Star which is good for me since that's about the only difficulty I'll ever see in RS.
