Re: Tennessee Titans (Madden 07)

Week 2 Preview: Tennessee Titans (1-0) @ Houston Texans (1-0)

Keys to Victory

1. Lets let our "big uglies" wear down their defensive line. We could run all day if that happens.

2. We can win this game on defense. Our defensive line is really good and their offensive line is less than impressive. Lets get penetration and see what we can make happen.

3. We should let Vince Young get into a rhythm vs. their secondary. He could have a great day against these guys.

What to watch for when Tennessee has the ball:

The Texans have shown signs that newly-signed CB Tory James will cover rookie burner Ted Ginn. This will be a huge mistake if it happens. Dunta Robinson is a MUCH faster corner, and if James covers Ginn, there is a good chance Ginn will leave him in the dust.

What to watch for when Houston has the ball:

This game could be the best matchup of wideouts vs. corners this season. Pacman Jones and new Titan Champ Bailey take on Andre Johnson and new Texan Calvin Johnson. But the Titans will win this matchup unless Texan rookie QB JaMarcus Russell improves upon his debut: 11-30, 90 yards, 3 INTs, and a 5.6 QB rating.

Quotes

"Today was obviously very frustrating...the offense was horrible, and it spoiled a good defensive performance...don't be confused, there's no quarterback controversy. Vince is our guy. He just got a little too emotional out there, and we yanked him to calm him down, and he almost brought us back. Crap happens." - Head Coach Jeff Fisher

Re: Tennessee Titans (Madden 07)

What a horrible game by Vince Young in his hometown.

For shame.

Re: Tennessee Titans (Madden 07)

Week 3 Preview: Kansas City Chiefs (0-2) @ Tennessee Titans (1-1)

Keys to Victory

1. Our offensive line should overwhelm their defensive line. We're much more talented than them and should be able to establish the run.

2. Patrick Surtain cuts our field in half. Focus on the other corner and use the slot receiver.

3. Stop Larry Johnson and force their offense to become one-dimensional. Keep them in long-yardage situations.

What to watch for when Tennessee has the ball:

After last week's debacle in Houston, the Titans are determined to re-establish the running game. Travis Henry will lead the charge, but Derrick Johnson is blossoming into a star linebacker for the Chiefs. The third-year man out of Texas had 9 sacks last season, and has 20 tackles in two games for the Chiefs in 2007.

What to watch for when Kansas City has the ball:

Jevon Kearse says he is happy to be back in Tennessee. And a happy Freak means unhappy backfield players for the opposing team. The Chiefs are trying out Trent Edwards at QB to replace the retired Trent Green, and he has 0 TDs and 5 picks in his first two games. They must lean heavily on Larry Johnson, who is averaging 5.8 yards a pop so far in 2007. Priest Holmes is still in KC too, and should not be overlooked.
