Onlybygrace's St. Louis Blues Dynasty

System: Xbox360
Game: NHL 2k8--with mostly updated rosters
Sliders: Original06's sliders with modifications like increased difficulty

So, here is how this dynasty will be formatted.

First of all, I know nothing of HTML. So it will be a text based dynasty.

Secondly, this dynasty will NOT be a game-by-game dynasty with recaps after every game. That takes too long and I have too much other stuff to do to even consider doing that...even if it is awesome.

So here is how this dynasty will be done.

At the end of every month of the season, I will do an update with lots of stats, lots of league news, and other things like that. It allows me to play a lot of games and track things for both my enjoyment and for whoever likes my stuff.

If you like stats, you'll like my dynasty.

I will start with a season preview and then an update later after the month of October...

I'm just two games into my season so it'll probably be a week till the first update.

So...yeah...enjoy, comment, or whatever. But whatever you do, just remember that Jesus loves you and has a plan for your life. Ah, snuck one in one you didn't I. If you have any spiritual questions, feel free to PM me...don't wanna clutter the 'chise.

Re: Onlybygrace's St. Louis Blues Dynasty

St. Louis Youth Movement Key To Success This Season In 2008-2009

After a professional sports record 25 year playoff streak that ended in 2005 with the departure of Chris Pronger, the St. Louis Blues have been a celler dwelling franchise in need of revival. Well, this could be the year as the famine has given birth to a new crop of young talent that is ready to make an impact at the top level.

New to the Blues and to the NHL this season are rookies Erik Johnson, TJ Oshie, David Perron, Patrik Berglund, and back-up goaltender Marek Schwarz.

"It is going to be an extremely interesting season for us in St. Louis. We have a lot of young talent with a lot of upside. I'm excited to see how soon their impact will be felt. We've had some tough times here in St. Louis and this could be the season in which it all becomes...worth it all, I guess you could say", commented Blues President John Davidson.

Among the names mentioned, only Schwarz's future is a question mark. The upside is huge for players like Berglund, Johnson, Oshie, and Perron and many believe that the rookie of the year will come down to Berglund or Chicago's Patrick Kane or Jonathan Teows.

One thing is for sure in St. Louis this season...

There shall be pain and there shall be glory, only to what measure shall we see it poured out?

Stay tuned for St. Louis Blues hockey!!!!

Re: Onlybygrace's St. Louis Blues Dynasty

Interview With Keith Tkachuk On KTRS 550 AM

Hello, everyone this is Kris Kerber and I'm pleased to say we have Keith Tkachuk in the studio today and are looking forward with talking to the Blues Winger turned Center who has amassed 9 goals in the first 10 games of the season skating on a line with Paul Kariya and Brad Boyes...

KKerber: Hello Keith, how are you this fine Monday morning?

KT: All is well with me Kris...just relaxing today enjoying the day off, spent some time with the kids and the wife. Errands to do...you know how it is.

KKerber: True that. Lets get to it...what are your early impressions from the squad so far to start the season?

KT: Very positive. From a personal standpoint I feel like I'm playing better than any point in my career, and I'm no spring chicken so thats encouraging to me. We have some great young kids on the team this season. Perron and Oshie have been outstanding. Berglund hasn't had the start we all thought he might have, but he is playing with some struggling wingers and not getting a whole lot of ice time either. But its early and I see him turning things around and coming up with 25 goals before its all said and done.

KKerber: Does the energy of the young guns rub off on the vets?

KT: Totally. These kids come out skating hard everynight. They never give up on loose pucks. They never give up on rebounds and they have a great sence of creativity as well. Always trying something new and learning from what works and what doesn't. You can see it in their eyes when they pull something off and are storing it in the back of their minds. Its special to see talented young kids having success.

KKerber: You guys started the season 2-3-2 and have now won 3 in a row and now stand 5-3-2. In November, I believe something like 10 of the 12 games are against Central Division opponents...this is a big month for the Note, wouldn't you say?

KT: Of course. Every game is really important, but even more so when you are playing divisional games. Especially games against Detroit, Chicago, and Nashville. Those are some intense games and you always feel like there is more than just the two points on the line. There is pride and confidence...two things that you really need in this league or any sport to be successful. So November is huge for us, like you said...we play our own division 10 times this month. Thats quite a bit of intensity to face.

KKerber: Do you see a line shakeup coming soon? It seems like the lines could use a bit of a change, especially with guys like Berglund needing perhaps more ice time and yourself being a natural winger, do you see playing on the wing being centered by McDonald a possibility...allowing Berglund to move into the second line role?

KT: Its definitely possible and safe to say that we'll try all sorts of things. But thats the coaches thing. Personally I would love to try skating the wing again. Who knows?

KKerber: Well Keith, its been a pleasure having you on. Come back soon and talk to us.

KT: You bet, Kris...have a good one (Click)

KKerber: ...Back in a moment on the 550.

Re: Onlybygrace's St. Louis Blues Dynasty

BlueNote Report For November
It was an up and down month for the Blues. The squad would go 5-7-1 in November, good for 12th in the Western Conference.

In effort to keep up with the Jones's in the Central Division, the Blues sent Jay McKee and his 4 million dollar salary to waivers, and signed Anson Carter to a two year contract worth 5 million dollars. The Blues signed Carter shortly after the Columbus Blue Jackets made a big splash aquiring Peter Forsberg shortly after they had aquired Teemu Selanne.
