Do hot routes not work or is it just me(360)

I just recently bought ncaa 07 again and for whatever reason hot routes don't work at all. I press "Y" and nothing happens but on running plays if I press it the screen pulls back. Is there something that I'm doing wrong, do I need to turn them on, or is it just my game?

Yeah, same here. I just got the game 2 nights ago. You will see instructions in the game of how to do hot routes but it is more difficult (or complicated) compared to the current gen (Madden series) setup. I have not mastered it yet.

I havent played in a long time but I think its Press Y, Select the player whose route you want to change, then choose it using the D-Pad. I think after a while, the camera stopped pulling back on passing plays.

Could be wrong though.

Press the B button until you get to the player you want to hot route then press Y and you should be able to change the route with the thumbsticks.

its complicated but once you get used to it its not that bad. you have to hold B (like on defense) and switch to the player you want to send on a hot route. then you press Y and it gives you thumbstick options to change the route.

i can't figure it out on Madden for PS3 and ive been playing the game for 8 months.
