The funniest part of this article was when it mentioned that Auburn has "very good" academic prestige. Hah! If by academic prestige you mean, "we have sociology professors who will pass anyone," then yes, they have VERY GOOD academic prestige. Funny stuff.

The truth is that Stanford, Duke, and Vandy are probably the only schools that really restrict players from getting in based on grades. Michigan, Florida, and North Carolina are reknowned as excellent public universities - but we all know they lower their standards for good players and then steer them into easier majors.

Wow, you can make cool promises. "I promise we'll win the National Championship..."

I'm gonna try that one. I won't promise starting time, because if someone starts over you...oh well...but who knows, I might get desperate enough to try.

I think academic prestige has more to do with what you can accomplish there and not what they simply require you to accomplish. OU has the highest ratio of Rhodes Scholars of any public university in the nation, but I guarantee you their football players aren't being pushed that hard.
