How do you use the cone?

The "manual" is worthless, of course. Someone in another thread mentioned that to beat the INT problem, you have to use total control passing, and therefore the cone. Can someone explain for me how it all works, and how you would use it in game. I've been playing NCAA for years and I usually play with Texas, who's got a decent passer, but I'm throwing 5 INTs a game to terrible teams, and I run the ball about 80% of the time.

Ugh. Is that the only way? Seems like it would be tough to use the same thumb to point the cone and then press the receiver button. I thought there was a way to do it with the left trigger.

I am 360, btw.

I'd like to know this too. Also, is there a way to turn on the cone for CPU?

Yeah after hiking, hold LT and hit your receiver (A), then when you're ready to pass hit the receiver(A) you want to pass to.

Basically you're hitting the receiver button twice.

No cone for the CPU, IMO, that would make it a bit easier to pick them off.

Re: How do you use the cone?

What I do is tap the RS in the direction I want to pass the ball and make sure the cone is in the area I want to pass. I then hit the appropriate button for that receiver. It's awkward at first but I practiced a lot when it first came out on the PS2 years ago (I think on Madden). Now it's second nature for to the point I don't even think about it.

The downside with the cone though is that if you use it and pass the ball outside of the cone the chance of you throwing an INT goes up.
