Building a Rivalry

Does anyone know if you can build a rivalry between another team in NCAA 08. I'm Temple and my only rivalry is Pitt so I would like to build a rivalry w/ another team in the MAC. Does it happen?

If so what does it take... Really close games...Does the ESPN instant classic feature help to building a rivalry w/ another team?

Not sure if this is in the game but this would be an awesome feature to add in the future.

Yea I have never heard of it actually being in the game, but I think it would be a cool feature to add in later on, maybe next year.

Re: Building a Rivalry

I'd like to see this in the game, as well. In real life, several things factor in developing rivalries that couldn't be done or would be difficult to do in a video game. Things like fights between teams, off field incidents, etc. But a couple of things that could be done are: 1) for a team in the same conference, a series of very close games and/or conference championship meetings and 2) for non-conference teams, scheduling the same team repeatedly for X-number of years.

I'd also like the ability to set the rivalries from the start, like you can in College Hoops. This way you could edit anything you disagree with EA on.

Ya - I am playing as Temple as well, and it is ridiculous that Pitt is Temple's only rival. I have been a Pitt fan all my life, and I have never thought of Temple as one of Pitt's rivals.

I would like to see rivals develop, especially since Temple is playing in the MAC. I know that I can't wait to play Buffalo, Bowling Green and Northern Illinois again next season, after losing to them because I hadn't learned how to play the game yet....
