Next Gen: Export Draft Classes from NCAA

I am a recent convert to the next gen gaming consoles. Up until this year, I have enjoyed my NCAA and Madden on the PS2. One feature I loved was the ability to export draft classes at the end of a NCAA season in my dynasty and import them into my Madden franchise. It was like one big happy football universe

Does this option exist on the next gen versions of the game (specifically PS3)?

It's there, but I've never been impressed with it. Always gives you weird attributes much different from when he was in college.

Yea i could never get a good McFadden. Some of the guys go 4rm 95s to 72 overall, w/ their speed dropping 10 this should not happen. I understand their awareness and tackling and stuff like that dropping but physical things shouldnt drop.

Physical attributes are relative to competition. Someone who is fast in college may just be average in the NFL.

Yeah but he's talking "Actual" figures. If you run a 4.4 in college you aren't dropping to a 5.0 just because it's pro. Same with strength and so on.
To me Awareness, play recognition etc.. would drop pretty good UNLESS the player was special and became an instant starter.

I know what you're saying though that the NFL speed is different. That's when the other attributes would possible take a hit. But I agree physical ratings shouldn't take a hit let alone a big hit.

Yeah I know, i've talked about this before with friends. The thing is EA doesn't have 40 times in the game so the ratings are relative to the game. The one thing I will say though is the conversion should be mostly static and consistent. In other words if there are 3 players in NCAA with a speed of 72, 81 and 93 then in Madden their speeds, if they do take hit, should be about the same hit, so the new speeds would be 68, 76 and 89.

However the mere fact that they should even take much of a hit is up for debate, for the reason you state above, a 4.4 in college is still a 4.4 in the pros. But then how do you model the game being faster in the NFL as opposed to college? I guess one could say only the best college players go on into the NFL so the hit shouldn't be much, if any at all, for speed. Anyways, as you can see I guess i'm seeing both sides here of this point..

This might be a dumb question, but can you manually type in player names on the PS3?
