Campus Legend Practices

During my Campus Legend I stopped doing practices about a week or 2 after becoming the starting RB for Penn State. When I wasn't doing them I barely got any carries and was lucky to get 50 yds a game and shocked if I got more than 10 carries in a game. I accidentally went into the practice part way into a week and decided to do the rest and wound up getting more carries. Once I started doing all of the practices my team turned back into primariy a running team again. My question is do the practices determine the emphasis or which plays will get called during the game that week?
