Constant disc read error for anyone else?

Almost twice or three times a day (every game pretty much), I get a disc read error playing NCAA 09. It seems to happen regardless of who I'm playing with or whatever. If I pause the game, it will get a DRE 99.9% of the time, which is odd, because I know previous games like NCAA 08 and 07 used to do that to me.

I have other games, and only occasionally get a DRE. I think in the 40 hours or so of playing GTA IV it happened maybe twice. With NCAA 09, it's happening multiple times, daily. And no the disc is not scratched, it was bought new and is in perfect condition.

Does anyone else have this problem and/or an answer?

BTW it's for the 360.

It's been happening to me too lately. Pretty annoying. I know last year it was happening alot and the way around it was to boot the 360 up without the game in the drive, and then insert the disc. Worked for me, but I haven't tried it this year.

ive gotten this to its either from you playing your xbox too much or its from you playing that game for a long game session

I had it nearly every game on NCAA 08. Hasn't happened to me yet on 09.

Either your disc is bad.

Your disc is scratched.

Or your 360's drive is going.

I rarely play my 360 for what you could call a "long period of time." For instance today I booted up NCAA 09, went straight to my dynasty to play a game, and near the beginning of the 3rd Q I got the DRE.

The disc has no visible scratches, dust marks, fingerprints, etc.

EA Sports games tend to be the only games I get DREs on. NCAA 07 and 08 were just as bad as 09 for me. Now maybe it's my 360s fault though, but I doubt it, since all my other games function correctly almost all of the time.

Seem like u mite have to pot tweak your 360. Mine was having a hard time reading dics as well til tweaked it. Now it reads it almost flawlessly. Just make sure u don't go under 3.0 if u decided to tweak it.

I edit my rosters for like 4 hours continously and then play a game just for a break and i have no problems.
