IGN Insider NCAA 2004 update - my thougts.

I have to be in a meeting in 10 minutes so I will make this brief:

The IGN editor only played the game for 10 minutes so take this for what it's worth.

1. The right analog stick will be used as a 'freestlye' control for touchdown celebrations, I believe he said there are about 10 different ones, including slamming the ball through the uprights. But these celebrations run the risk of 'unsportsman-like conduct penalty'

2. Each team will have 4 'alternate/throwback' jerseys available.

3. The polls will take greater consideration for 'prestiege rating'. So if your a Big Ten team with one loss, an undefeated MAC team will not be ranked above you.

4. The new QB rollout cam will be implemented (same as Madden 2004)

5. More cheerleader animations, and better looking cheerleader models, more animation, cannon's, etc.

6. Post game celebrations, tearing down the golapost after a big victory. etc.

7. Graphics are pretty much the same, mimor tweaks.

8. The biggest change: The all new weekly magazine!!
- Instead of seeing all the weekly awards in a plain old menu, we will get a weekly magazine!! The first magazine will be released in the pre-seaon with a cover that represents the years strongest teams and pre-season favorites. Then every week a new magazine will be released with a new cover depicting some of the weeks highlights, top ranked team, best players, etc. and we will be able to view pages inside the magazine for the weekly awards, polls, records, and pictures of top ranked teams and players.

sounds pretty PHAT.

Yet I still doubt the game will be released on July 1. Thats just too darn early.

release date will most likely be 2nd or 3rd Tuesday of the month, so 7/8 or 7/15 is my guess.

I will go with 7-22 since it came out last year on 7-23.

so will I since it almost always comes out towards the end of july and not the beg. I love how you can get droped from your conf or even move into a conf if your a team like ND.

I will go with 7-22 since it came out last year on 7-23.
