Most important stats for recruits?

My apologies if a thread already exists but I couldn't find one searching...

For those recruiting experts out there, what are the most important status you use for each position when determining the "ideal" recruits you want to go after? Any help would be appreciated .

Curious as to why you look at Runblock/Passblock for O-line and not:

Impact block
Run Block Strength
Run Block Footwork
Pass Block Strength
Pass Block Footwork

I thought the PB/RB stats were redundant. If not could someone explain why they are still there.

Re: Most important stats for recruits?

Block shedding for defensive players, especially d-lineman, is extremely important. I do not recruit d-lineman with below B block shedding unless I've missed out on the ones who have it.

Re: Most important stats for recruits?

I use every stat relevant to that position.

When cutting down my recruiting board I compare and recruit the player with the better overall grades. I go through each stat until the one with the better overall grades.

I have taken many 3 star players over 4 stars because overall they have higher grades. Maybe C+ in run/pass blocking but then have Bs in all kinds of other stats.

I do this for each position. In the long run I get the better overall athletes.
