BYU playbook talk & my spread flex scheme.

I must say this playbook is one of the top playbooks in the game. Its really geared towards running a 2 back system! I came up with this scheme to run and it been working out really good for me. Anyone else runs BYU playbook? I am hoping to to get some talk going about it


Spread Flex Scheme

Pre Formation Audibles on the D-pad

UP-Y Stick
Down-HB Dive
Left-PA Dig
Right-Four Verticals

Plays with Reads

*Z Shallow Cross -Reads: O, Triangle, [], X,If all else fails check off to the RB.
*Y Shallow Cross -Reads: X, Triangle, O, [], and L1.
*H Shallow Cross -Reads: Triangle, X, L1, O, and []
*Mesh -Reads: Triangle, X, O, L1, and []
*PA Dig -(cancel Play Action) leave the HB to block - Reads: X, Triangle, [], O
*HB Dive - (This is the bread and butter of this formation) Work it in as needed and make sure you count how many is in the box!!!
*X Follow - Reads: Triangle, L1, [], X, O
*Y Stick - Reads: Triangle, L1, [], X, O
*Y Cross Flood - Reads: X, L1, [], O, Triangle
*Flanker Dig - Reads: L1, Triangle, X, O, [] Note: Also mix in the HB Screen also with this play.

Read my spread option guide. my offense also involves the spread flex formations such as yours but i will run more of zone read and other options instead of pass happy/diving. my guide also has hints on what to run against certain fronts and people in the box. itll help you out.

BYU is my main as well. I love how it has all those 4WR sets as well as I formations and Strong I.

The Spread Flex Halfback Dive is definently the money play. However I prefer to keep the HB screen over the PA Dig as an audible in case I see them overloading the box looking for the run.
