HOW EA CAN FIX PROGRESSION

Give the players the ability to edit ALL players in the game and problem will be solved.

Players can edit, until their hearts desire.

Re: HOW EA CAN FIX PROGRESSION

^ Seconded. The amount of time I'm going to spend editing rosters is far less than what that would require. Personally I think the ability to edit should exist anyway - really why doesn't it? But whether it exists or not, the correct fix is just to make the thing work. The average talent level of players and teams should be about the same season after season. You shouldn't have 10 A+ teams, nor should you have no A teams and fifty D- teams. It's not that hard.

Re: HOW EA CAN FIX PROGRESSION

They should make it so lower rated players progress more if they are lower ranked overall

< 70 overall you should improve by 7-10
70 - 80 overall should improve by 5-7
80 - 90 overall should improve by 3-5
>90 should only improve 1-3

Maybe tweak it a little but some sort of scale like that

Re: HOW EA CAN FIX PROGRESSION

Curiosity rears its head: is there such a thing as an external roster editor where you could export your roster or dynasty file, edit the ratings, and copy them back to the XBox? It would still be too much work probably - although if there is such a thing, you could write some kind of macro to increase a specific rating for all players with a particular class and position by x%. Like all freshman kickers, +50% kick power and kick accuracy. That would be pretty sweet.

EA doesn´t believe in Editors for some reason. Ask FIFA players, they´ll be able to give you the amazing story of an editor that doesn´t let you freely change ratings in the default roster.

Yeah, but your friendly neighborhood hacker might. Not that I endorse such activities, but I know there are for example programs that let you edit your user profile for Red Dead Redemption (boosting your level and the weapon unlocks and so forth). Such a thing could be used for much more noble purposes - namely, making dynasty work again - in NCAA 11. But again, some utilities or macros would be needed probably, to keep you from going insane while editing fifty million players.
