Re: Will Ncaa football 13 have missouri's new football field?
This has kind of bothered me in a few threads but I guess I'll point it out here; I'm kind of befuddled at the idea of schools being expected to be the ones that communicate changes to EA. EA is making a game that's supposed to be representative of reality and I'd really expect them to have some sort of liaison with the NCAA (regarding who was moving up this year), the uniform manufacturers (for uniforms obviously) etc.
Now, I get that if a school makes a change after the art is done then theres nothing anybody can do, and in this specific instance that sounds like what happened, but the response always seems to be 'well the school should have informed EA' and I feel like the onus should be on EA to go out and find out what's going on in the universe of the game they're making.
It's weirdest for me for the school that won't be included. I get it if they made the official decision after the deadline for EA to get a new team in the game, but the official reason is that there was some sort of miscommunication. Assuming that there was some official date by which the school made the official decision, if that decision was made before EA's deadline then I can't see what breakdown in communication would both cause EA to not know what teams would be competing in 1-A and be the fault of the school. Either the decision was made too late (which I would think they'd just say that) or EA didn't do their homework and wants to pin it on the school, which has bigger things to worry about than having their school put in a video game.
