How can I keep the lead against top 10 teams?

I consider myself a good player, I never use a top 25 team cause I feel like anyone can win with them, past 3 games, had 14 point lead agaisnt USC in the 4th, 10 point lead against South Carolina, and a 3 point lead against Alabama... Does crowd factor have anything to do with it, cause all my opponent played crappy till the 4th quarter, then they break 50yard runs, 60yard touchdown passes and punt return for Td....

I play with Mississippi State and Iowa.

I never understood how this game worked in relation to the 4th quarter. To me it seems like the "physic" defenses got much more physic, and the offense's became unstoppable. It's almost like in the 4th quarter, the whole opposing teams awareness rating went up to 100%. This ruins the game for me every year, and I can never tell if it's just in my head, or if it's really something in the game. Does anyone else feel like that?
