Why am I getting recruits I never offered scolarships too?

I just finished a season in dynasty and after the last week of off-season recruiting and when it's signing day, I'm getting random recruits that I never even offered a scolarship to. Also, all of my CPU assistance options are turned off. ANyone know why?

I think it may happen if you had a position of need that you didn't fill. Like getting a walk on.

I filled all my needs and I was able to cut them. I already had 6 WR and I got another one. Some of the players I got were ones on my recruiting board that I had been scouting and others were completely random. They were mostly all 2 or 3 star players and it seems like a lot of them were gems..

because you have to use all your schollies or the cpu will do it for you regardless

Are you sure? Even when the CPU got players for me I still had 6 scolarships left over.

This has been an issue with the game for the last 3 years. Even if you fill all your needs, turn off all the CPU recruiting options, and remove un-committed recruits, the CPU will offer remaining scholarships to any and everybody. We've told EA, it keeps happening. Nothing you can do about but cut them.
