Jump the snap directions

Can somebody please tell me exactly how this is done using XBOX 360 controls ?

I thought hitting down on the right stick as the ball is snapped did this, but almost everytime I do it the defensive lineman I'm contolling falls forward and gets blocked to the ground

Also ...Is there a way to do this when you have control of a player in the secondary, LB, CB, safety

Thank You

Re: Jump the snap directions

Gotta jump it, so hit it right before the ball is snapped. I'm guess you player is try to make a move before engaging and causing him to get pancaked. Not sure about any other players, maybe if they're blitzing, but I never tried jumping the snap with them.

Thx TMJOHNSON

Now I'm starting to think it's the lag from online games that's causing my issues
