Relegation Mayhem: Who should go up?

I have a relegation dynasty, and in 2014 the C-USA decided it was just not going to conform to any actual logic. In the 10 team conference, two teams are slated to be moved up to the SEC. However, they decided it would be fun to have a six way tie for first. And having cross referenced every tiebreaking procedure I can find, I have no logic on how the game created the conference standings other than just sticking teams somewhere. So OS will decide which two teams make it.

Bold = Non Conference

Troy 8-4 (6-3)

Vanderbilt 8-4 (6-3)

FIU 7-5 (6-3)

Texas A&M 8-4 (6-3)

It's hard to value the wins as we dont know how far into your dynasty you are - and I know that in relegation setups some teams take huge leaps / falls from where they started.

How bout a simple tie breaker - top 2 ranking (if outside of 25, it is easiest to see when looking at champ contenter)

Re: Relegation Mayhem: Who should go up?

I made notes of the ones I thought were significantly changed from where they are now (which was basically just the SEC.) Everyone else has pretty much held firm.

The conference games should be pretty standard at least, they each played five games against the teams they're tied with and the other four teams (Miss St., Mid Tenn, Memphis, L Tech) are solidly below them.

And I did say 2014, so this would be the end of year 3.

I would say Vandy (Beating Southern Miss) and Texas A&M for their wins. The others had too many bad losses.

Look into who had the best total points for/points against spread. But based just on quality of W's and L's I'd go with Vandy.

Re: Relegation Mayhem: Who should go up?

First tiebreaker you should look at is head to head against each other.

Troy, Vandy, and Tex A&M all went 3-2 within the 6 teams while
FIU, G. Tech, and Ole Miss all went 2-3

This eliminated FIU, G.Tech, and Ole Miss from consideration.

The remaining three unfortunately went 1-1 against each other with each one beating one and losing to one.

From there I'm not sure what you should do, but at least it gets you down to 3 instead of 6.

Seeing as one of Troys wins was against an FCS school that should lower them overall while the other 2 had all of their wins against FBS foes they should move on.

So by those logical aspects Texas A&M and Vanderbilt both should move on instead of Troy.
