True freshman transfers?

I'm playing an OD with a couple of my friends, and we just hit the first offseason. For some reason I had a bunch of transfer students come over, and an odd thing I noticed was that a couple of the transfers were true freshmen. How in the world does that work? A true freshman can't have transferred, that sounds more like a de-commit or something. Is this just a bug, or what?

Check if they have the Redshirt icon next to their faces. They should have it next to their face.

Yeah, I think the "transfers" happens *before* the next year, so you'd see what year they *were* transferring over.

I've lost a few "true" freshman because I redshirted them and in the process found better players (or my depth at their position is crazy).

So they transferred "as true freshman", but the CPU teams will get 'em as FR(RS), and then they'll have to sit a year so they'll be SO(RS) by the time they play.
