Coaching Rank Dynasty Setup

Is there a way to start a dynasty with a new coach, but you take on the rating of the current coach? I thought the default setting would do this, but my coordinators always start off at 0.

If you are creating a new coach, the default is zero.

What you could do is set the starting level for user-controlled coaches to be higher, but the highest it can go is level 20. If you start at level 20, your coordinators will be level 10.
