Define Sim Stye Please

Recently i played a fellow OSer who claimed they were a "SIM STYLE" gamer. I have found that over time a vast majority are not or they are so sacrilegious that if the opponent doesn't play exactly to the letter of THEIR law you are a cheesed.

Now i pride myself on playing SIM STYLE and also using real life concepts and personal coaching style as i navigate my way through a game.

What bothers me is the first time its 4th and inches in a land of nowhere spot, you are crucified. Personally across all levels in a game across all levels when you are up, have momentum and are mounting a drive on your way to being up 17 or 21 points, most great coaches or aggressive coaches tend to go for it depending on situation. some people here catch a really big attitude. In a game where you're dominating be aggressive and you can do that without cheesing.

With that being said, if said opponent who claims such sim style play starts going off on you yet they run 90& press man or press zone, run the same few plays over and over regardless if they know the playbook or not and then runs fag D down 14 to 17 points, You should tell them to go **** THEMSELVES especially when you run a balanced offense, run a vast majority of the playbook and feel like you have coached a full game by the 4th quarter. It ruins that experience when said opponent runs fag D at the end and does other cheap tactics because they are just being beaten fair and square.

Dear TacoSaban if you read this, this is about you and i hope people read this about you. If I'm banned i don't really care because i don't use this website much. But i feel compelled to expose someone who claims they are so sim style yet are not.

Good Day Folks.

Every time I see someone get mad over an opponent going for it on 4th down, I am reminded of a Texas Tech game when Mike Leach was there. Tech took the opening kickoff and began at their 20. Three plays later it was 4th and 5. Every coach in the country would punt - it is, after all, the first minute or so of the game - but not Leach.

Tech converted, drove down and scored a TD and ended up winning the game by a huge margin. Sometimes... you have to create your own momentum and Leach isn't afraid to do that. One of the reasons I love his style so much!

What is fag d? Also most college teams rotate about 8 defensive plays all game. Offensively, there are more, however.

What school are you talking about, maybe a division school or a junior colle but not in major division 1 football. Sorry champ. Defenses in college are fairly sophisticated.

Of course they're fairly sophisticated, like they may run a base cover 3 for part of the game and then have different stunts and concepts within that cover three. Some teams stay in nickel all damn game (until theyre backed up on their goal line). I've also seen teams get a 2-3 score lead and then run cover 4 all game in the second half.

Personally,I run about 10-12 plays on defense with different line stunts, blitzes, coverages (read: coverage audibles) and mix up man and zone in some plays. Master a few different sets and then add in variations within those sets.

Sure there are some cheesers, but I personally don't have a problem with online. Everything can be countered, especially those who run the same cheap stuff over and over again. I can certainly see why it can be annoying. My last loss came to a dude who ran like 4 cheesy offensive plays over and over again. Unfortunately, I found out how to counter everything too late. To me, part of the fun is shutting that crap down with coverage audibles, and then beating them with a realistic, balanced offense.

ya dude just save urself the headache and play offline. Playing online is such a waste of life. most ppl online can b figured out within 3-4 drives and its cake from there. ppl quit bout 80% of the time also so its just a massive headache.....The only time I'll touch online is in leagues but even then if u smoke someone once they quit the league all together cuz everyone expects to win the Title or its like the world ends and theres not another season after the one ur in.
