OPI/DPI penalty settings

Ok, so I know trying to get these settings to produce actual penalties isn't going to happen, but I've heard they affect aggressiveness in coverage.

My question is, does OPI and DPI affect both the CPU and USER equally? Or, does one affect the coverage for the CPU and one for the USER?

Re: OPI/DPI penalty settings

Anybody have an answer for this? I feel like it's the only thing keeping me from having perfect sliders.

Unfortunately bro, they don't work no matter what you do.

Re: OPI/DPI penalty settings

I think they affect them both equally, but I am not sure they work. Some say the lower the setting the more aggressive they will play, however when they are maxed out it seems to me that the db's play more aggressive. Although it seems that way, I am not 100% sure.

They don't work in the traditional sense (where the actual penalty is called), but I know they affect pass coverage.

I just want to know which one affects what.

I could use help on this one too. Does anyone know for sure how these two affect pass coverage.

Re: OPI/DPI penalty settings

In my experience, DB's will make more aggressive plays on the ball (i.e., swats and deflections) with the DPI maxed-out. It seemed that w/ OPI, receivers' ability to catch and make plays for the ball significantly and unrealistically overpowered the effect of DPI on DB's. I play w/ DPI on 95 or 100 and OPI on 75 or 70. But, again, that is just in what I have experienced.

Re: OPI/DPI penalty settings

I have gone the exact opposite way. I play with DPI/OPI at 20. It makes it really challenging to throw the ball deep. If you up the DPI at little, this makes it easier to pass the ball.
