Cheese?

Do you guys think it is cheese to run the QB on passing plays about 30% of the time? I play with Mizzou, and Brad Smith takes off on broken pass plays all the time in real life. Smith taking off is really the backbone to the offense. I honestly try to play like Mizzou does in real life, but I can see people getting po'd when I do this online. Do you think this is fair play or not?

fair to me.. thats why you play zone and mantoman, when you have faster qb's.

I wouldn't say so unless you are constantly using this as a tactic to win.

It depends, if you wait for the receivers to streak downfield and then just run if they're open, then it's cheese. But if everyone is covered, and you're scrambling to avoid a sack, and pick up positive yardage, it's fine.

The point is, your scramble has to be for a purpose if it's not the designed play. You can't just call a bunch of passes and keep taking off for no reason.

People who scramble out of the pocket are fine, as long as they don't run constantly because that gets old.
