I created my own school and I am playing as an independent. If my program gets good, can I get invited into a conference? I think they had that option in 2004... Is it still there in 2005?

Yes, I got invited to the MAC to replace Buffalo after 1 season with Navy (11-1).

Sometimes thought it will take a couple of years.

I've never seen this. I only ever use Div II schools and replace an existing independant in my dynsasties. I'm now in year 2010 in my Howard Dynasty and still havent seen this. My records have been as follows:

2004: 1-11
2005: 7-6 (Motor Bowl victory)
2006: 9-3
2007: 6-7 (Motor Bowl loss)
2008: 10-3 (ranked 20th ? bowl victory)
2009: 11-1 (ranked 3rd, Sugar Bowl victory)

I wonder what exactly triggers this.

i actually just tried this last night simulating with a created school

it took 4 or 5 seasons but i finally got invited to the ACC to replace duke

I used Florida International as an independant in my first season and went 8-4 and got invited to the Big East. Since then I restarted my dynasty with them and am in my 3rd season without a conference invite yet. I have no clue what triggers this.

im guessing you just have to be doing OK as an indy and theres someone doing bad enough in a conference that they kick them out. Do the computer teams switch coferences at all even if your team doesnt?

no, the computer controlled teams do not switch conferences.

I am Boston College in year one of my dynasty and I am 7-4 but because I only lost one conference game, I get to go to the Sugar bowl where I will be surely be blown out by Texas. My question is can I get better schools to come to the Big East or can I get invited to a better conference from the Big East?
