If someone were going to back out in a way this was the best team to do it. No conference implications (easy to ignore the ACC agreement), scheduling should be fairly easy to fix, etc.
The nightmare is if a conference loses enough schools to unbalance divisions or go under 12. Then you’ve got to either throw in fictional schools or do some really weird stuff to make things work.
