Is there any way to create a player for a D2 school in 05? If not, is there any way to bring a D2 school up to D1 before you start a dynasty?

There are no D2 schools in the game. You can create a vauge representation of one using the create-a-school feature. You can insert a created school in a D1A dynasty. Most D1AA schools (Villanova) are in the game and you can move them up to 1A before you begin a dynasty
